Mission Values Statement

We look to Jesus Christ for guidance in all of life. Christ made clear the focus of the mission of the church through teachings like:

• I was hungry and you gave me food;
• I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink;
• I was a stranger and you welcomed me;
• I was naked and you gave me clothing;
• I was sick and you took care of me;
• I was in prison and you visited me.

The Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois encourages the congregations to consider these words when planning and evaluating the mission life of the congregation. These words will also guide the presbytery as a body when a joint mission project is proposed.
